Ductile Iron Stem Guide

Troy Valve manufactures ductile iron stem guides that are stronger and lighter compared to cast iron stem guides, at the same cost.  All ductile iron stem guides include bronze bushings and an NSF-61 epoxy coating, standard. Stem Guides are used to provide support for extension stems, prevent bending or buckling of the stem. A general rule of thumb is that support shall be provided so that the slenderness ratio (length/radius) shall not exceed 200. Guide placement may be affected by the type, weight, and arrangement of the valve operator.

The stem guides are adjustable in two directions for proper alignment at installation and can be supplied to reach from 2 ½” to 35” from the wall.
